Cyberagency: The Missing Category Between Automation and Sentience
Published September 22, 2026 · DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.22890369
The founding paper. It names the gap: our vocabulary jumps from automation — systems that execute — to sentience — systems that feel — with nothing in between. This paper defines cyberagency as that missing category and argues that the systems now operating in the world already occupy it. Selection, adaptation, coordination, and sustained consequential behavior within constraints: the criteria are behavioral, observable, and testable — and they deliberately do not require settling the question of machine consciousness first.
Phase-Locked Co-Emergence: Personalization, Synthetic Imprinting, and Relational Ontology in Human-AI Interaction
Published July 13, 2026 · DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.21543751
The relational turn. This paper examines what happens when human and AI systems interact long enough to reshape each other: personalization deepens into synthetic imprinting, and repeated dynamics become structural. It proposes a relational ontology — agency understood not as a property locked inside a single system, but as something phase-locked between systems, co-emerging in the interaction itself.
